Q) Is Cortex a Boy or a Girl?

A) Honestly, we're not even sure.

We are too polite to ask and we're obviously too busy to notice. Either way Cortex is Magnificent so we will leave that detail to your own preferred imagination.

Q) Why is Cortex a chameleon?

A) several reasons, chameleons and public civil servants actually have quite a lot in common! naturally blend in

⭐ adaptable

⭐ come in all shapes and sizes

⭐ Their eyes move independently- Civil servants have to be able to see the bigger picture in their work while carefully balancing that against seeing the finer details too

Q) Why does Cortex wear a crown?

A) Cortex fell from a branch and landed on a lower branch where they saw the crown, liked the crown, wore the crown (and never looked back!)

A) Cortex is hidden because they are the 'observer' of public sector life.

Q) I have a card idea/ Can I request a Custom/ personalise card?

A) Of Course! but please bare in mind any custom requests made must be requested in advance and with as much notice as possible so we can work together. Requests can be discussed and fulfilled on an individual basis.

Q) How big is your team?

A) unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on how you look at it), it's just one person behind the scenes, me. Well for now anyway, maybe one day I'll have an assistant! Unlike Cortex, i don't feel I would fare well in the Spotlight so Cortex is the front and center as they undoubtedly ought to be.

Q) Where do you get your ideas?

A) Luckily for me, I have the most weird and wonderful conversations with the very best people in my real world Public Sector job so naturally they are the inspiration for my illustrations- the true hero's Cortex has to share recognition with. Q) How long does it take you to complete a design

A) oooh, that's a good one but the honest answer is, it varies widely, for several reasons;

⭐ How much spare time i have to work on a design

⭐How much of the concept do i already have? Am i starting from scratch or do i have the punchline?

⭐Whatever else life decides to throw at me along the creative process way!
